Regional Workshop on Radiation Protection of Patients in Computed Tomography and Recurrent Imaging Practices

Description:	The regional workshop is to provide participants with specific information on patient radiation protection, including level of appropriateness in recurrent imaging modalities, identification of high-dose examinations and optimization of exposure levels in Computed Tomography (CT).
Applicants:	The meeting is open to 22 participants from Member States involved in the regional project RER9157, “Strengthening Implementation of the Justified and Optimized Use of Ionizing Radiation in Medicine.” Priority will be given to those nominees who have submitted relevant data for the three studies. Nominated participants should be radiologists, oncologists, technologists, or medical physicists who were actively involved in both the pilot and final data collection phases of the RER9157 project studies. As the workshop will be conducted in English, nominees are expected to have sufficient proficiency to participate in discussions without difficulty. Nominations without sufficient information regarding the nominee’s background, professional experience, and contribution to the project tasks will not be considered.
