Technical Meeting on Research and Development to Support the Effective Implementation of Nuclear Decommissioning Projects

Description:	The purpose of the event is to share experiences and discuss practical examples of the deployment of research and development (R&D) outcomes to support the effective and sustainable implementation of decommissioning projects. IAEA Collaborating Centres on decommissioning, as well as other research, technical support and implementing organizations beyond the framework of the Collaborating Centres, will be invited to present their R&D initiatives.
Applicants:	Participants are anticipated to have experience and expertise in planning and implement R&D programme and projects related to the decommissioning of nuclear facilities (e.g. nuclear power plants, research reactors and fuel cycle facilities). In addition, participants may also have experience and expertise in the field of innovative technologies deployment in various decommissioning projects. It is expected that participants will represent a broad range of stakeholders including decommissioning planners, implementors, regulators, industry, national nuclear laboratories, academia and similar. Representatives of the IAEA Collaborating Centres on decommissioning, OECD/NEA, EC and other relevant counterparts are encouraged to participate in this meeting.
