| Description: | The purpose of the event is to provide hands-on training in radiation detection using different detector types, electronics and data acquisitions systems. The participants will learn about detection principles, signal processing, readout chains and results interpretation as necessary for a correct measurement. |
| Applicants: | This training workshop is intended for individuals with a basic understanding of ionizing radiation detectors and data acquisition systems who wish to deepen their knowledge of detection principles, as well as analogue and digital data acquisition methods. Participants are expected to have a solid foundation in the interaction of radiation with matter and prior hands-on experience with basic radiation detectors using isotopic sources, such as scintillators or counters. |
