Technical Meeting on Disused Sealed Radioactive Source Status Indicators as a Measurement Tool for the Sustainable Management of Disused Sources

Description:	The purpose of the event is to introduce and discuss disused sealed radioactive source (DSRS) indicators as a tool to reflect the status of DSRS and progress made by Member States in their management, to discuss the potential value of the indicators for Member States in planning their future activities and to assist the IAEA in the design of future technical support, ensuring long term sustainability in the safe and secure management of DSRS.
Applicants:	The meeting is intended for: − National operators involved in the management of DSRS; − Regulatory bodies and competent authorities; − Decision makers and users of radioactive sources; − Suppliers and recyclers of radioactive sources. Participants should have a solid understanding of the administrative and technical infrastructure required for DSRS management. Participants will be asked to prepare a brief presentation on their national experience in implementing DSRS management and to conduct a self‑assessment using the set of 19 indicators prior to the meeting.
