Description:The purpose of the event is to discuss and share experience on developing strategies to enhance competency-based education, professional recognition, and sustainable workforce development in medical physics across the region.
Applicants:The meeting is open to 25 participants from TCEU Member States participating in project RER6045, “Strengthening Medical Physics in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology”. Each country is invited to nominate two participants who meet the profile described below, indicating their order of priority. Given that the scope of the workshop, participants should be professionals and decision-makers involved in the planning, delivery, regulation, and oversight of medical physics education and training programmes. Participants should include medical physicists with responsibilities in education and clinical training, university faculty members, programme directors, representatives of national medical physics societies, accreditation and certification bodies, and managers of healthcare institutions involved in the training and professional development of medical physicists. Priority should be given to individuals who are actively engaged in developing, implementing, or strengthening national frameworks for medical physics education, training, certification, and CPD. This course is not intended for personnel working in regulatory authorities, inspectors, or radiographers. As the course will be conducted in English, participants should have a sufficient command of the language to follow and contribute to discussions, deliver presentations, and communicate effectively without difficulty.
