The normal mode

The normal mode of operation is the monitoring under a normal radiation situation. The regular components of the monitoring network participate in the monitoring. The monitoring is mainly concentrated on the observation of time and spatial dose distributions, dose rates and radionuclide concentrations in the environmental components for the purpose of determining long-term trends and early detection of any variations from these trends; and it also serves for maintaining the organizational, technical and personal preparedness of the monitoring network components in case of emergency.
